  1. Hi Andre,

    Some notes.

    * Are you in contact with the maintainer?
    * An NMU sould indicate as such in the changelog. i.e. '* Non-maintainer upload.'.
    * The version on a new upstream version NMU should be: 1.0.4-0.1

    Regards

  2. Hello Phil,

I actually started a ITS (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1086596) a while ago. After discussing during a Ubuntu Summit with one DM, and explaining the case, I learned about the ITS proccess and the possibility to start to upload here to get something compilable.
I also considered due to: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1069485 blocking the package to stay in testing...

Should I then still change everything to NMU? Or look for a mentor?
If this is not the place to discuss, can you please give me a pointer? Thank you
